Retro Nokia phones you can still buy (UK, 2026)
We made cables for the Nokia 5110 back in 1995, so this one is close to our hearts. HMD now makes Nokia-branded phones again, including 4G versions of some of the classics, complete with Snake.
- Nokia 3210 4G is best for nostalgia, with Snake and a battery that lasts days
- Nokia 2660 Flip is best flip phone, with big buttons and screen
- Nokia 8210 4G is best looking, inspired by the 1999 original
- Nokia 110 4G is cheapest, a no-fuss spare or festival phone
Why you need a 4G model
The original Nokias from the 90s and 2000s run on 2G. The UK's 3G networks have already been switched off, and 2G is due to go by 2033, so old handsets are living on borrowed time.
Every phone here is a modern 4G model. Calls go over 4G (known as VoLTE), so they'll keep working after the older networks are gone.
Got your old 5110 in a drawer? Keep it as a keepsake. For a phone you'll actually use, buy one of the 4G versions below.
Who these phones are for
They're popular as a first phone for children, as a break from the smartphone at weekends, as a festival phone you don't mind losing, and with anyone who just wants calls, texts and a battery that lasts.
They do the basics well: calls, texts, an FM radio, a torch and a simple camera. Don't expect apps like WhatsApp on most of them.

Common questions
Will my original Nokia 5110 still work?
Only while 2G lasts, and the UK plans to switch 2G off by 2033. It's a lovely keepsake, but buy a 4G model for everyday use.
Do these phones have WhatsApp?
Generally no. They're built for calls, texts and the basics, which is the point for most buyers.
Are they made by Nokia?
They're made by HMD, which licenses the Nokia name for phones.
Do they work on every UK network?
They're sold unlocked and support 4G calling, but it's worth checking your network supports VoLTE on that model before you buy.
